The project is intended to renovate and extend the sports area of Parque de Poniente in the Madrid municipality of Villanueva de la Cañada. With the remodelling of the existing skate plaza, the area will be used to create a skate park and a new bowl, extending the paved surface.
The new sports equipment is intended to be more visible and to attract more skaters.
The following noteworthy work was carried out:
• Paving of the new skating surfaces with polished concrete.
• Paving of the accesses to the skate area in ceramic paving stones.
• Installation of new street furniture with litter bins, benches, fountain, etc.

• Installation of a perimeter railing on the converted skate park for the viewing area, which is accessed by a clinker brick pathway, framed under metal yellow arches.

• Planting of shrub species in areas around the perimeter of the skating area and planting of flower beds in mounds located inside the skating area.
• Installation of a drip irrigation network.
