Refurbishing La Concepción Municipal Sports Centre in Madrid

Covering a total area of 36,277 m2, this sports centre offers a wide range of activities for adults and children alike. In addition to aerobics, water gymnastics, karate and yoga classes, the district’s schools take part in swimming, basketball, football and rhythmic gymnastics and other sport academies.  

The facility is at 5, José del Hierro Street and features technical aids for accessibility including lifts, ramps, platforms and pool hoists.  

The project directly intervenes in the area next to the heated swimming pool and the football pitch. In the former, the changing room facility and the deck are to be refurbished while in the latter the grass and equipment will be renewed.  

This action is included in the Framework Agreement for refurbishment, repair and conservation works in Municipal Sports Centres and Basic Sports Facilities (lot 2), under the jurisdiction of the District of Ciudad Lineal.
