The playground covers 227.05m2 and was surrounded by a rest area featuring benches together with Mediterranean forest vegetation of consolidated pines plus shrubs and specimens of rosewood on the Calvell Boulevard side and the upper area of the slope.
The purpose of the intervention was to improve the playing conditions of the area. The existing playground equipment has been replaced with new items that improve accessibility and play possibilities. The existing rubber flooring has also been enlarged.
A play area measuring 750 m² has been laid out integrating the flat part and the slope with a sitting area on the flat part next to Calvell Boulevard. The main features included are:
- Large group swing with group and individual seats on rubber.
- Slide on the slope of the terrain, on rubber from the change of slope to the landing.
- Accessible slide, on rubber.
- 2-person roundabout, on rubber.
- 3 trampolines in a playground set, on rubber.
- Sandpit with accessible table.
- Accessible climbing frame with a similar pitch to the slope featuring concrete parts up to 2m and ropes and nets.
- Trunk area on the slope.
- Rubber relief flooring with small ridges and hollows including colour changes to stimulate play.
- Tubular play equipment leveraging the changes in topography.
- Two linear play features in textured reinforced concrete harnessing topography changes to generate role-playing games and sitting areas, 3 huts suggested by the topography of the concrete and 3 steel arch-shaped items.
