Construction and public works tendering of a building for the Municipal Police Prefecture of the city of Lleida. Architect: Manel Gómez. Mestura Arquitectes.
The works were honoured with 1st Prize in the Public Development New Building category of the 4th “Terres de Lleida” Architecture Show(2014). According to the jury: “Noteworthy is its successful resolution of a long, complex programme in a very business urban setting in which residential buildings and green spaces coexist.
The jury particularly appreciates the good building quality, which will guarantee easy maintenance over time, an aspect that is especially important in public buildings”.

Relocation and demolition, and earthmoving
Excavation to free up basement space, digging of trenches and shafts and supply of earth.
Structural system
Shallow foundations, trenches and shafts, concrete flooring, on-site retaining walls, steel temporary anchoring, reticular waffle framework and solid slabs.
Roof
Inverted trafficable type with marble paving finish.
Façade
Ventilated type with polymer concrete slabs and steel plating.
Dividing walls
Enclosure walls of smooth lightweight blocks. Reinforced closure wall of hollow brick. Hollow brick dividing walls.
Cladding
Plaster rendering and tiling of vertical facing.
Paving, false ceilings, carpentry work, installations and urbanisation.
