Conversion of a building for use as a 154-room hotel on Barcelona’s Carrer Còrcega.
Conversion of the existing building into a guesthouse/hotel with a total of 154 bedrooms and a total construction floor plan of 7,614 m², comprising basement, ground and seven upper floors. The works gave the building an “A” energy efficiency classification. Structural reinforcement with metal parts.
Construction of a new spiral staircase in weathering steel, clad in wood in the lobby. Interior divisions in ceramic and plasterboard walls, new inverted deck-type roofing. Façade carpentry with double-skin system, interior Technal Saphir-type carpentry and exterior in pivoting aluminium sheets. Designer tiling in wet areas and painting of building, including personalised designs.
