Sorigué takes over maintenance of University of Huelva buildings plus external development
The contract includes upkeep, repair and management using the comprehensive Facility Management system for 64 buildings.
The University of Huelva has awarded the Sorigué group’s City division all maintenance and upkeep services for 64 buildings plus external development. This includes El Carmen, La Rábida, Cantero Cuadrado and La Merced campuses, the Centre for Research and Development of Agri-Food Resources and Technologies (CIDERTA), the International Centre for Ecological and Environmental Studies and Conventions (CIECEM) and the Casa El Conejo in Minas de Riotinto.
The contract with the University of Huelva is for two years with the option of two extensions. The service includes building work, painting, locksmithing, welding, plumbing and joinery while ensuring the normal operation of the facilities and not disrupting their activities.
The Sorigué team works from Monday to Friday during the day and has staff on call to deal with emergencies. It also provides skilled specialists to cater for public and private events 365 days a year.
Facility Management
Sorigué centralises its operations by means of CMMS software that enables features including task automation, extending the service life of the assets and averting major repairs.
Drawing on its extensive experience in building maintenance and renovation, Sorigué deploys the Facility Management system in several cities around Spain. In Madrid, it manages the Senate facilities and performs comprehensive maintenance of the Palacio Municipal de Congresos convention centre, the Recinto Ferial trade fair, various cultural venues such as the Matadero, Casa Panadería and Señores de Luzón facilities and the tourist information points at the Airport and in Lima Square.
In Barcelona, Sorigué delivers maintenance services for 350 public buildings run by the City Council including properties in the l’Eixample and Les Corts districts, the General Services Department and the Social Rights, Health, Cooperation and Community Department.
In Tarragona, it provides end-to-end maintenance at Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital while in the Region of Andalusia Sorigué is responsible for eight hospitals. It also carries out all maintenance and repair projects for the 217,000 m2 City of Justice in Seville.
