The complex, known as the Palmas Altas Campus, calls for knowhow and experience in managing facilities under sustainability criteria.

Sorigué has been commissioned to deliver comprehensive maintenance and technical management services for the Palmas Altas Campus, the site of the City of Justice in Seville. The complex covers more than 217,000 m2 and houses seven buildings, two wings, green spaces, an administrative area and car parks.

The contract, awarded by the Regional Ministry of Justice, Local Administration and Public Administration, has a budget of over €1 million per year.

Featuring an energy-efficient architectural design concept, the City of Justice in Seville has won the Excellence in Design Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has been selected for the European Awards of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

It was also the first in Spain to earn Leed Platinum 2009 certification for its sustainable design and performance. The choice of Sorigué as the company entrusted with its operation thus underlines the group’s recognition in the industry as an expert in managing facilities to the highest environmental standards.

End-to-end management of the complex

The job consists of ensuring that all main, auxiliary and ancillary areas and units are in peak condition and always available plus making sure that the power generation system is in good working order.

Roles include maintaining the photovoltaic solar panels and the electrical systems consisting of cogeneration and trigeneration plants.

The service also encompasses servicing all water supply equipment such as underground tanks for drinking water and stormwater, hot and cold water supply and drainage systems as well as absorption cooling, air conditioning and ventilation systems.

Sorigué is additionally tasked with managing access controls, intrusion systems, fire protection, CCTV, natural gas networks, telephone masts and lifts.

The Palmas Altas Campus was acquired in 2021 by the Regional Government of Andalusia to bring together previously scattered courts and started up in late 2023 with the opening of Commercial Court number 4. It is estimated that by 2028 it will be fully operational with all the offices and court premises moved to this new site.
