Building the pedestrian and bike-touring connection between Molina de Segura town centre and the ‘Huerta’ horticultural area and northwest greenway.
The works consist of the foundations, structure and finishes of a footbridge over Industria Avenue plus development of the action areas. The project ensures accessibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
Action area 1. Construction of a new bike lane and landscaped area. Renovation of pavements and road markings.
Action area 2. Renewing a section of the drinking water supply network. Putting overhead power lines underground. Renovation of the tunnel and watercourse of the Molina de Segura Heredad de Regantes irrigation association.
Action area 3. Accessible ramp bridging the height difference between La Hoya trail and the footbridge landing. Construction of gabion walls and reinforced concrete corbelled walls in the footbridge landing area.
Action area 4. Building the metal footbridge consisting of 7 spans of between 10 and 48 m for a total length of 210 m. The deck’s clear width is 3.5 m and the foundations are made of pile caps on 1.00 m diameter piles and micropiles.
Action area 5. New SV2 road in the southern area. A reinforced concrete retaining wall is built with an access staircase to provide direct entry to the park.
