Sorigué fits audiovisual system in Municipal Sailing Centre in Barcelona’s Olympic Port
The Sorigué group has fitted the new equipment for the Gregal Room, a multi-purpose venue in the Olympic Port's recently refurbished Municipal Sailing Centre.
Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals (BIMSA) has awarded this contract to the group as part of the upgrades Barcelona City Council is implementing to get the city’s port facilities ready for the America’s Cup.
This project means that the Sant Martí district now has a fully equipped multi-purpose venue for hosting indoor activities.
The service has included implementing electrical systems, conduits, wiring, connection boxes and rack cabinets along with the audiovisual media for content processing and projection.
The new equipment includes microphones, loudspeakers, amplifiers, videoconference extension transmitters, an induction loop, displays and control system. Furthermore, the Gregal room now has systems for streaming connections, wireless presentations and a stand-alone video conferencing system.
In addition, sound-absorbing fold curtains made of fireproof velvet have been placed in the lower section of the walls and a sound-absorbing treatment based on perforated wood fixed by means of a metal frame has been fitted for acoustic conditioning.
Drawing on its extensive experience in city services, Sorigué has handled end-to-end management and refurbishment of major educational, hospital and sports facilities.
They include comprehensive facility maintenance at the University of Lleida’s campuses, end-to-end management of the Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital building, replacement of the plumbing at Rector Peset Hall of Residence in Valencia, comprehensive maintenance and support for events at Madrid Destino cultural venues such as the Matadero Madrid facilities, fitting out a cleanroom at La Ribera Hospital in Valencia and all-inclusive maintenance and electrical support at the IFEMA Madrid conference centre.
Another outstanding project is maintenance of the television and fibre optic systems at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The service consists of support for major events including the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and the Catalan MotoGP Grand Prix plus regular preventive and corrective maintenance.
