Development and construction of a 4MWp photovoltaic power station in Ulldecona, Tarragona
Development and construction of a 4MWp photovoltaic power station in Ulldecona, Tarragona
End-to-end project for commissioning a solar energy plant in Ulldecona, Tarragona.
Ulldecona is a town of 6,240 inhabitants in the Catalan county of Montsià. This project helps to produce clean energy in the region via a 4.45 MWp photovoltaic power station which can generate up to 5,547,943 MWh/year of sustainable energy through panels coupled to the electricity grid.
The project is end-to-end because it encompasses all the services involved in the value chain of the infrastructure throughout its service life. Its implementation includes technical and administrative design, processing permits for its rollout (Ready-to-Build), construction and operation.
It is estimated that the new photovoltaic power station prevents the annual emission of up to 3,473 t of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The work undertaken included:
- Securing permits.
- Drawing up the detail design.
- Purchasing materials and equipment.
- Carrying out civil engineering works.
- Installing all the components.
- Processing and licensing.
- Getting the connection permit.
- Commissioning the facilities.
- Handling operation and maintenance.
The project also included building the 25 kV line to the electricity output feeder on the medium-voltage overhead line owned by the utility company.
