Photovoltaic self-consumption system at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville
Photovoltaic self-consumption system at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville
Design, construction and commissioning of 768 photovoltaic panels for self-consumption.
The 768 460 W (each) panels are evenly spread across the south side of the roof to capture as many hours of sunlight as possible and deliver peak power of 353.28kWp and 300kW nominal. The system is positioned on the same plane as the existing sheet metal roof.
The power generated is connected to the Stadium’s electricity grid through a custom-built installation made up of state-of-the-art materials including six 50kW electrical inverters, independent wiring, specific protections and an efficient control system that allows the energy generated to be displayed and controlled.
Estimated energy output is 521,588 kWh/year which means a drop in atmospheric emissions of 135,613 kg of CO2/year, i.e. the equivalent of planting 6,781 trees.
