Sorigué joins register of Socially Responsible Valencian Companies through its Building branch in the Region of Valencia

June 27, 2024

Sorigué’s Building branch in the Region of Valencia has confirmed its commitment to environmental and social sustainability through the Regional Government of Valencia's SIR Register.

On Tuesday 12 June, Sorigué attended the 1st Meeting of Socially Responsible Valencian Organisations held in the Joan Plaça Auditorium at the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia. The event brought together companies which have been accredited on the Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Organisations (REVSR) kept by the Regional Ministry of Finance, Economy and Public Administration.

At the event, members of Valencia’s business sector shared their best environmental practices including efficient natural resource use and circular economy strategies. They also spent a good part of the conference outlining their initiatives which have a positive impact on their communities by promoting social fairness.

Registration in the SIR Register

Since November 2023, Sorigué has been on the Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Organisations, also known as SIR, through its branch in the Region and the firm Acsa.

This register certifies good corporate performance in terms of social sustainability and is earned by complying with the environmental, social and governance standards laid down in Act 18/2018 and Decree 200/2022. There are currently 41 enterprises operating in the region with this seal.

Corporate self-assessment coupled with social responsibility and social audit reports are the cornerstones for gaining the label which opens the door to numerous local and European benefits. This report confirms the commitment to mainstreaming responsible practices in business performance and the resolve to have a positive impact on society.

The companies on the register share sustainability values which enable them to deepen bonds with local customers and partners while also offering the chance to forge relationships with other EU organisations and funding, investment or insurance programmes.
