The Asfaltos team in Barcelona has designed their own mobile technical support office by converting an old van. The vehicle was redesigned to create a new operations centre with capacity for four entire workspaces.

This ingenious solution replaces the traditional huts that require their own installation space on the worksite, avoiding the need for a crane truck to transport materials, which can now be transported in the van.
 
The new office enables the Asfaltos team to move around easily throughout the province of Barcelona, both within a linear worksite and between other worksites.

It is also more cost-effective as it is self-sufficient, producing its own energy with solar panels.

Making the van the new centre of operations has been very successful, with new improvements made constantly as new features are added.

The Asfaltos division of Sorigué is renowned in the sector for its extensive experience in the production and application of all kinds of asphalt mixes for conventional roads, motorways, city roads and indoor facilities, such as the recent paving project at the Boquería Market in Barcelona.

The materials research laboratory has developed numerous sustainable techniques, such as cold recycling for repairing pavements at a lower temperature than usual, or the Rugofir paving system, which produces an ultra-thin mix with high resistance and easy maintenance.
