Construction begins on the external consultation area for the maternal unit at the Córdoba University Hospital
Sorigué, through its company Acsa together with Magtel Operaciones, will be responsible for resuming this project, which consists of the construction of 78 new consulting rooms with their support premises and waiting areas in an area occupying some 10,000 m2.
The works, suspended since summer 2020, have been reinitiated with a highly efficient healthcare proposal that will provide gynaecology and children’s outpatient care services to the city of Córdoba.
The construction, with a surface area of 10,000 m2 and a budget of €15,946,338.34 (excluding VAT), will involve the creation of 78 new consultation rooms with support rooms and waiting areas, with a design that includes separate circuits for the different types of patients, according to their symptoms.
The project will also involve adapting the mechanical systems to avoid mixing air flows between different spaces. This improvement will enhance the air quality inside the facilities and provide the air conditioning systems with filtration to prevent the potential spread of pathogens.
Another significant point is the civil works that will be carried out, using a ramming technique, which will enable work to be carried out on the southern drainage section that crosses the roundabout between San Alberto Magno and Menéndez Pidal. This solution will prevent traffic issues, interference with existing installations and potential setbacks due to archaeological supervision during excavation work.
With these works, Sorigué continues to strengthen its position in the hospital sector, as it is currently working on hospital expansions for the Orden Hospitalaria San Juan de Dios in Córdoba and Las Palmas.
The construction of the new external consultation building for the maternity unit at the Reina Sofía University Hospital in Córdoba began in 2020, but only 2% of the project was completed. After two failed tendering processes, nine bids were put forward for this third attempt, and the one proposed by Sorigué achieved the highest rating.
Sorigué also continues to strengthen its presence in Andalusia, a community where it has been active for over five decades, with branches in Seville, Granada and Málaga. Some of the projects Sorigué has carried out include the construction of residential buildings, sports centres, schools, hydraulic infrastructure and paving, along with the development of city and intercity roads.
A leading company in the building, infrastructure, water cycle and city services sectors, Sorigué has more than 20 active companies and a presence throughout Spain.
