Ana Vallés explains the keys to Sorigué’s growth at the 33rd Business Meeting of the Pyrenees
The president of the Sorigué Group shared the group’s experience and progress at the “Differential business strategies” round table, as part of the conference that brings together the main representatives of Catalan enterprises.
During the round table held on 10 June, “Differential business strategies”, Vallés shared the keys to the group’s growth. “Our company has been going for over 65 years. Today it has become a dynamic, modern and diversified group. We have generated sustainable and responsible growth”, said the president.
Sara Wener, co-founder and CEO of Cocunat, and Josep Ametller, CEO of Ametller Origen Group, also took part in the debate moderated by journalist Josep Puigbó.
In this year’s edition, which attracted a record number of over 650 attendees, the business fabric of the territory took centre stage. The meeting has become a space in which experiences and business success cases can be shared, highlighting the value of a company’s background and sharing good practices with other companies.
In the inaugural speech, the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonès, highlighted “green and digital reindustrialisation” as a reality for which work is already underway and the “strategic role of Catalonia in the green transformation in terms of renewable energies in Europe”.
Among those attending the conference were Francesc Vilaplana mayor of La Seu d’Urgell; Miquel Pueyo, mayor of Lleida; Núria Mas, Bank of Spain director; and Eva Saldaña, director of Greenpeace Spain, among other representatives from the social, business and political fabric.
Business Meeting of the Pyrenees
The meeting was first held in June 1990 as an initiative by a group of business owners and professionals from Lleida. Today, it has become one of the most important business meetings held in Catalonia. Its founding spirit, based on participation and the promotion of exchanges and experiences between participants and speakers, is increasingly combined with the desire for renewal and modernisation that are inherent to business culture.
