The project included designing the special asphalt mixture, made with a reddish iron oxide aggregate, for the lanes of the central road. The appearance of the black asphalt has been dulled to differentiate the taxi and bus lanes next to the two new pedestrian lanes on either side. Subsequently, the non-slip buffing treatment has been carried out to give a uniform appearance to the pavement.

- Design of the mixture for use in the works.
- Roughing of the entire surface with metal-bonded diamond to visualise the aggregate before preparing the pavement.
- Cleaning of the pavement for subsequent application of RS Asphalt-Plus grout.
- Supply and application of RS Asphalt-Plus grout on the pavement to cover imperfections in the asphalt.
- Buffing of trims and edges. Refining the surface with metal-bonded diamond to eliminate excess grout and visualise the aggregate.
