Sorigué optimizes its installation system for ultra-thin asphalt mixes
The project is being financed by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), an organization under the control of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, has granted Sorigué support in the form of a loan, within its innovation support line, for a project that seeks to optimize methodology and develop the means necessary to design a new system to lay ultra-thin mixes (AUTL).
The goal of this research project is to optimize the functional characteristics of a high-performance wearing course with regard to friction, guaranteeing the thinnest layer and achieving greater resilience, relative to its guarantees of functionality throughout the entire service period.
The project, which will last for 12 months and will be carried out by the group’s asphalt company, Firtec, has a total budget of 740,704 Euros.
The proposal, entitled “Diseño de un sistema constructivo innovador de extendido de mezclas ultrafinas durables y seguras, AUTL-PLUS” [Design of an innovative construction system for durable and safe ultra-thin mixes, AUTL-PLUS], is also co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the R&D&i operational program by and for the benefit of the companies, the Technology Fund.
