The Materials area of Sorigué has opened a French affiliate that will market products for road repairs, featuring those sold by the French Calcel brand, which the group acquired in mid-2016.

Calcel, a company that enjoys high prestige throughout France, specializes in the manufacture and marketing of products for repairing roadways with cold mix asphalt, to which resins are added to improve the mechanical properties of the final product and reduce curing times. These products are ideal for small road surface repairs in connection with street projects or for the replacement of cast iron covers of any type.

With the inclusion of these cold mix asphalt products with resin, Sorigué has expanded its catalogue of products for road repairs, which it will sell both in France and in Spain, as well as in other markets, principally Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Poland. 

In-house production
Sorigué will also begin to manufacture Calcel products at its industrial complex in La Plana del Corb, in Balaguer.  This knowledge, in synergy with Sorigué’s know-how in the area of asphalt mixes, will pave the way for the development of new products with even better features.

Sorigué will also market other cold-applied products associated with road repairs, such as: Rapid Band and Rapid Mástic.

The new products and their principal uses

• Calcel Route: Thermo-hardened resin for fast and permanent sealing of manhole covers. Eliminates the settling, cracking, and chronic deterioration of manhole cover seals.
• Calcel Top: Cold mix asphalt with a finishing resin used on roadway surfaces. 
• Calcel Fill: Cold mix asphalt with a fill resin used in intermediate levels of roadways. 
• Calcel Rob: Resin and aggregate-based product designed for draining surfaces. 
• Calcel Ecotop: Cold-mix asphalt with natural oil-based resins. 
• Sorigué Rapid Band: self-adhesive, cold-applied tape for sealing cracks in roadways. 
• Sorigué Rapid Mástic: road bitumen for filling and sealing cracks in roadways, supplied in cartridge form for cold application.
