The Sorigué group obtains Bequal certification, confirming its commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities
Obtaining this certificate strengthens the commitment of the whole organisation to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Twenty companies from the business group and the Fundació Sorigué obtained the Bequal certificate at the end of 2019, awarded by the Bequal Foundation, certifying the group’s policy of inclusion for people with disabilities.
During the audit that led to the awarding of the certificate, it was clear that the group’s companies are aligned with the Bequal Foundation’s core objective: employing people with disabilities.
The Bequal certification not only assesses the legal compliance of companies—e.g. that 2% of jobs in companies with more than 50 employees be reserved for people with disabilities—but also the effective integration of disability-inclusive policies in the different areas of a company.
Obtaining this certificate strengthens the commitment of Sorigué to Corporate Social Responsibility. The certification is valid for three years, subject to annual review, in which both the continuous adherence to the accredited criteria and ongoing improvement are assessed.
The companies that have been awarded this certification, as well as the Fundació Sorigué, are: Asca Obras e Infraestructuras, Agro-Sorigué, Ambitec, Àrids Catalunya, Axer, Aficsa, Cimexco, Conexis, Constraula, Coutex, Cumesa, Ditransco, Finycar, Firtec, ICA, Nordvert, Piñana Commerce, Sorigué, Sorigué Acsa Conservación and Vialex.
Meanwhile, CLD, the Sorigué group company specialising in waste management and environmental services, has been awarded the Bequal Plus Certificate.
About the certificate
The Bequal Certification is a third-party evaluation formula used to determine the degree of commitment made by companies and public administrations to Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability in essential areas such as strategy and leadership, human resources management, care for all citizens under equal conditions and the inclusion of social clauses in public tenders.
In addition, organisations that obtain the Bequal Certification demonstrate their commitment and contribution to fulfilling the SDGs, specifically SDG 4 on quality education, SDG 8 on decent work and SDG 10 on reduced inequalities, among others.
