Sorigué demonstrates its support for emerging talent with participation in the Ent-Ex project

July 25, 2016

The business group acts on its desire to give back through activities in the educational sector, providing support for young entrepreneurs in collaboration with European institutions through its participation in the international Ent-Ex project (The Entrepreneurship Experience Programme).

Thirty talented young people between 18 and 30 years of age, including workers from Sorigué, attended the Ent-Ex program, a project organized by the European Institute for Industrial Leadership (EIIL) and created to help participants develop their entrepreneurial skills, regardless of their future career. The course took place from July 11 to 14, and was backed by financial and logistical support from Sorigué, as well as the institutional support of Barcelona Activa, Covestro, Generalitat Emprèn, and Jedi.

In the words of the Coordinator of the group’s Strategic Development Department, Nigel Bax, “participation in Ent-Ex reflects the desire on the part of Sorigué, through its strategic plan, to invest in people that, in the field of entrepreneurship, provide value for the company and drive changes with new ideas and visions of the future”.

The Entrepreneurship Experience Programme

The international Ent-Ex program consists of a four-day practical course, during which students conduct activities that allow them to develop their entrepreneurial and creative abilities, as well as to put into practice their teamwork and network skills.

At this year’s event, the participants received advisory from various directors at Sorigué, including the Director of Expansion, Ignasi Clariana, and the Director of Shared Services, Álex Pardo. They were also able to hear first-hand the experiences of prominent Spanish entrepreneurs, such as Clara Lapiedra, Assistant Director at PronoKal Group International, Xavier Crusat, Director of Innovation at KIC Innoenergy, Rubén Hermida, Director of ADOC Management, Vicky Castillo, Founder and Director of TbKids, ad Miquel Latorre, Co-founder of IDI Eureka.

Ent-Ex is an annual program based in Brussels, which in addition to Barcelona, is also held in the European cities of London, Amsterdam, Genoa, Cologne, and Lisbon.
