The works consist of the adaptation of the infrastructure of the Sau Reservoir's undersluice equipment. The work concentrated on the refurbishment of the armouring of the four undersluice pipes on both sides of the dam. The air supply to the four bureau valves was also improved and the drainage system cleaned.

Fed by the River Ter and located in the municipality of Vilanova de Sau, the reservoir has undergone a series of refurbishment works described below:
1. Refurbishment of the lateral pipes for undersluices. Using the hydro-demolition technique, the deteriorated armour was removed and the concrete cleaned. Subsequently, new reinforcement was placed, and high-strength mortar injected between the cleaned concrete face and the new reinforcement.

2. Adaptation of the air intake system. The existing installation was removed, the pipes were demolished and their diameter was enlarged to DN300 mm. The new adduction pipes were laid and, once inside the Bureau valve chamber, new motorised penstock valves and tri-functional suction cups were installed.
3. Improvement of the drainage network. The entire drain system was cleaned with very high pressure water and new piezometers and their automation were installed.
