At the encounter, the company presented its project on the labour performed in the industrial complex La Plana del Corb (Balaguer, Lérida), that was awarded the Prize for Excellence last June in the Economy category and the First Prize in the category “Contribution to society and Added value for scientific”, of the National Prizes of the Aggregates Federation on Sustainable Development of Quarries and Gravel Pits, and that was also selected for the European prizes of UEPG 2016.   

During the congress, Sorigué sponsored a seminar on ballast, that dealt with matters such as the situation of railway projects in Spain: ballast supply in Portugal; the new European regulations on aggregates for ballast; and quality control in quarries supplying that material, among others.
 
The seminar was attended by the Director General of Operation and Construction at ADIF, Javier Gallego López. During the congress, diverse debates and sessions were held between the different players in this sector of the industry.
