Sorigué drives innovation for road maintenance contracts at the Spanish Road Safety Conference
The group sponsored this conference, which discussed road safety as a means to ensure smooth road traffic and road maintenance.
Under the slogan “Road safety as the pivot of roads”, Sorigué took part at the Spanish Road Safety Conference held in Malaga from 19 to 21 September. This conference brought together a variety of players to discuss the different means to make and maintain roads safe and keep accidents down. On 20 September, Anna Leal Bosch, Sorigué’s COEX Head of Road Maintenance, gave a talk on the importance of road maintenance as a means to ensure smooth road traffic, and used Sorigué’s current projects on Lleida’s roads as an example.
One of the overarching goals of road maintenance contracts is keeping roads safe. The indicators for monitoring this provide a gauge for current safety levels.
This can be performed by implementing BIM technology as a tool for monitoring and checking road safety at some interventions or for specific infrastructure.
Implementing this type of technology into contracts makes it easy to plan maintenance and in order to run a risk analysis and thus lower work-related and road accidents.
For more than 20 years Sorigué has been leading the field in road, rail and airport infrastructure maintenance and operation.
This congress, organised by the Technical Road Association (ATC) and the Spanish Road Association (AEC), was opened by Francesc Xavier Flores García, Secretary-General of Infrastructures of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA).
