Ana Vallés offers a sneak peek of the next edition of BBConstrumat
During two meetings with the press, the Chairwoman of Sorigué, in her capacity as Chairwoman of BBConstrumat, has announced that 450 exhibiting companies are expected to take part in next trade show, 29% up on the previous edition.
On February 6 and 7, Ana Vallés, Chairwoman of Sorigué, participated in two debriefings, in Barcelona and Madrid respectively, at which, as Chairwoman of BBConstrumat, she provided information on the 21st edition of the trade show, which will be held from May 14 to 17, 2019 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía venue.
In collaboration with Josep Jonàs, Director of the Architecture and Construction business at the Fira de Barcelona, the Chairwoman of Sorigué has indicated, among other aspects, that the fair will continue with its commitment to innovation and digitization, as well as to access to new international markets and championing business opportunities to promote the sector’s recovery.
During these meetings with the press, Vallés announced that more than 450 companies are expected to take part, a 29% increase on the number of exhibitors participating in 2017. In 2019, BBConstrumat will span 34,000 gross square meters of Hall 2 at the Gran Via venue and, for the first time, it will feature an outdoor exhibition space.
Latest trends and international visitors
Architect Josep Ferrando will be in charge of designing the shared spaces at the trade show as part of an ephemeral architecture project that seeks to reuse materials. Furthermore, BBConstrumat will structure the event around four themed spaces (Future Arena, Industry Arena, Talks Arena and Meetings Arena).
The Future Arena, the disruptive innovation space at the trade show, will once again showcase the most transformative projects over 2,000 square meters. This space will reveal the initiatives of technological centers and universities in the field of robotics, BIM technology, biomaterials and the circular economy under the guidance of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC).
Networking and business relationships will be held at the Meetings Arena. The Contract Forum will be launched, including both national and international projects, under the coordination of the Association of Interior Designers and Decorators of Catalonia (CODIC).
In terms of international relations, BBConstrumat will feature a program of international visitors from countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Israel, Mexico and Peru, who will attend the event with a view to acquiring products or reaching agreements with exhibitors.
This year, there will be a dedicated space for professional services (The Professional Spot), a pioneering initiative in the field of construction sector trade fairs, where architecture, engineering and interior design firms have the opportunity to offer their services and show their products to both visitors and exhibitors.
