Addplast
Addplast
Hot-mix asphalt designed to incorporate recycled plastic polymers for increasing wearing course performance, which helps the circular economy thanks to by-product recovery.
Asphalt mixes with recycled plastic polymers
We develop our Addplast mixtures for AC, BBTM, SMA, and AUTL hot-mix asphalts with the use of polymer additives from recycled plastic waste that has been managed, separated and sorted for recovery, with the amount of additives varying depending on requirements.
Incorporating plastic waste polymers into hot-mix asphalt increases stiffness,
boosts the performance of the bitumen used, lengthens the lifespan of the paving and helps to improve fuel-resistant properties.
With this we can recover by-products and contribute to the circular economy and the sustainable management of raw materials. There is the potential to incorporate recycled site materials, RA, which can reduce the use of raw materials by up to 20%.
Features
- Incorporating polymers into hot-mix asphalt increases stiffness and boosts the performance of the bitumen used.
- Improves the hot-mix asphalt’s fuel-resistant properties.
- Using Addplast means we can control the rheological behaviour of binders, making them work for whatever we need.
